Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to many classical music and older Boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, and commenced more serious training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition alive.
